At Recycling for the Needy, every item donated carries a message: you are not forgotten. This past month, we had the privilege of delivering that message in a big way—across two states, reaching more than five local shelters in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Over 5,000 clothing items and 500 pairs of shoes were distributed to shelters that had been facing critical shortages—especially with the colder months approaching. Jackets, pants, shirts, and essential footwear were received with open arms by the shelters, and more importantly, by the individuals and families they support.
These shelters serve people in urgent need, and our donations will go a long way toward keeping them warm, protected, and dignified.
We couldn’t have done this without the help of our incredible partners and donors. Your support allowed us to expand our reach, respond to immediate needs, and bring hope where it was needed most.
